In order for the Earth and all her life to move forward into the Light with the rest of our Solar System, we must make a choice. We can choose to Ascend into the Light through love, or we can choose to descend into oblivion through hate. It is up to us. Love and hate cannot exist in the same space.

When our hearts are centered in Divine Love, we know that EVERYONE is a Beloved Child of God doing the best that he or she can according to their wisdom and understanding. Through the perspective of Divine Love, we realize that when we expand our own Light, we enhance the Light that is awakening our sleeping sisters and brothers. Then, we comprehend with greater clarity the Universal Law, "As I Am lifted up into the Light, ALL life is lifted up with me."

When Miguel Angel Vergara leads individuals, families, or larger groups through sacred sites, he gives these recommendations:

When one enters a Mayan ceremonial center, it is good to enter as a guest in a respectful manner. A guest often brings a gift and requests permission to enter another’s house.

Take a few moments to silently ask permission of the Mayan lords of the directions to enter the site. When you feel called to do so, leave a few seeds as an offering. You may also wish to offer small crystals or some water. This act is a very sacred link between the Mayans and other Native Americans of North America.

Note where you are drawn to go. Remember that the places of greatest power for you may not be the most public or ornate buildings. Upon leaving, remember to give thanks for being allowed to enter a sacred ceremonial site.

Our deepest, darkest difficulties are coming up now--these are the last years of the "war" between the dark and light. Those who have a dark agenda are going all out for their purpose, and these beings are not to be despised or feared, simply acknowledged and put aside. The light agenda will win--there is no other possibility--but it may be accompanied by caataclysms, or not, depending upon our ability to accept a smooth transition.

But the biggest "war" is probably within ourselves. To feel our anger, hardness of heart, contempt for certain others, fear--all that is "unseemly" in a spiritual person--is not at all comfortable, but it is totally necessary. To acknowledge a difficult feeling, to love and bless it and love and bless ourselves for feeling it; to give it to it the violet flame and heal its very cause; and replace it with truth--these are the vital efforts of the moment
