Greetings 1 Spiriters! As we continue forward into 2009, i'm sure you'll be watching and noticing the creations, unfoldings, and manifestations of humanity, as well as your own. It is an exciting, albeit 'on the edge' time. I look forward to sharing Visionary Guidance this Spring on the road as my humanity gets to be in the fray offering, learning, and appreciating being physical amongst amazing reflections.

As All things being Equal in the Universe, even though representations and reflections mirror otherwise, these are the greatest of times for us all to demonstrate the Awareness, Ethos, and Wisdom of our abilities. Brothers and Sisters, we are coming together even as the flailing of a New World Order appears and tries to interpret our future. Having made it through the holidays, we are now faced with grouchy friends! The term friends applies to those who are friends as well as those others who are out in the world providing challenges to you for whatever the reason. It also applies to those parts of ourselves about which we are unhappy or unsatisfied.

This time of year brings the challenge of manifesting new things and the challenge of accepting the new future that will unfold. We are done with last year and we need to stop freaking out and start taking responsibility for our states of mind as well as the state of the planet.

Grouchy is ok for a little while, cherish it. But it is also something we will need to banish as this year proceeds, so start to find ways to deal with yourself and others in having the grouchiness leave.

It is not a coincidence that the movie, The Day the Earth Stood Still, was redone this year. We are being watched by the universe and by the spirit world to see what we will do next, how we will handle new power and progress as well as challenges to preserve the planet. We are asked to take more responsibility to be examples for others, to be energizing a more positive atmosphere.

Amongst the many things you will need to do to support this new level of responsibility is the fact that you will have to defend yourself against any extraterrestrials or spiritual attackers (which includes people who are overshadowed with the negative). These attacks are also part of what is making people grouchy. You can begin to deal with this by believing in yourself, staying in touch with Spirit, and asking for the astral law enforcers (including archangels and other positive forces) to send these attackers away. In addition, we need to set goals and hold ourselves to a higher form of thinking, higher energy levels, and cleaner interactions. Remember to ask for help--we are here in teams whether you know that someone is on your team or not!

A friend of mine just coined the term Atlantian Sparkle Monkeys. These make you laugh, and make you see yourself more gently. We can create sparkle monkeys to get through this grouchy period of time (also known as the beginning of the year, the beginning of a new presidential term, and the beginning of winter or summer if you are down under).

We need our sense of humor, the daily magic and we need faith. It is time to bring more Atlantian energy into this time: the energy or hope, the energy of healing, and the consciousness.

We are entering the area of the unknown that is uncomfortable, like starting a new job, being in a new relationship, or just plain being different. It's ok to have grouchy friends and it is necessary to give them the humor, the magic, and spiritual connection that they need. We will give them all Sparkle Monkeys.

You can visualize a monkey now as you read, and you can feel the sparkles as well as see them. This is the symbol of all that is playful, mischievous and lively. You can also use amethyst, sodalite, lapis, or clear quartz held to your heart as you visualize the monkeys. This is the energy of being willing to climb wherever you need to climb and go where you need to go. So, hold this to your heart so that your heart will open to joy and hope this new year.

GAIA was the primeval divinity of earth, one of the primal elements who first emerged at the dawn of creation, along with air, sea and sky. She was the great mother of all: the heavenly gods were descended from her union with Ouranos, the sky, the sea-gods from her union with Pontos, the sea, the Gigantes from her mating with Tartaros, and mortal creatures were born from her earthy flesh.

In the ancient Greek cosmology earth was conceived as a flat disk encircled by the river Okeanos, and topped above by the solid dome of heaven and below by the great pit of Tartaros. She herself supported the sea and mountains upon her breast.

Gaia appears in the character of a divine being as early as the Homeric poems, for we read in the Iliad (iii. 104) that black sheep were sacrificed to her, and that she was invoked by persons taking oaths. Gaia: "land" or "earth", from the Ancient Greek, also Gaea (Modern Greek,) is the primal Greek goddess personifying the Earth. She is considered a Mother Goddess or Great Goddess. Her equivalent in the Roman pantheon was Terra.

The mythological name was revived in 1969 by James Lovelock, in Gaia: A New Look at Life on Earth, where he proposes that living organisms and inorganic material are part of a dynamic system that shapes the Earth's biosphere, and maintains the Earth as a fit environment for life. Further books by Lovelock and others popularized the Gaia Hypothesis, which was widely embraced and passed into common usage as part of the heightened awareness of planetary vulnerability of the 1990s.

What would your life be like if you had no debts? Everything the same, just no debt.

No debt for your house, your car, your credit cards, the IRS, medical bills, the father-in-law, the poker buddy, college loans, the title loan company, your mom: this list could go on for a long time.

Did you sigh? Did you feel a sense of longing?

Do you think you could be able to relieve others of their debts to you? What about those loans to people you know will never be paid back anyway? What if you forgave those?

The jubilee is known as a Jewish year of restitution or restoration proclaimed by a blast of trumpets, during which land is left uncultivated, slaves are emancipated and land that had been sold reverts to the former owner. The concept of a jubilee year is actually a command from YHWH (a.k.a. God) given to Moses on Mt. Sinai for the Israelites. It is an extension of the idea of the Sabbath, the seventh day of the week during which Jews were commanded to rest and focus on their God YHWH. Every seventh year was proclaimed a Sabbath year in which the land itself was allowed to rest. The jubilee year is the seventh Sabbath year, in which the people and the land are allowed to rest and begin again, liberated from the bondage of debt or slavery. From Leviticus Chapter 25, verses 10-17 (NIV):

“Consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you; each one of you is to return to his family property and each to his own clan. 11The fiftieth year shall be a jubilee for you; do not sow and do not reap what grows of itself or harvest the untended vines. 12For it is a jubilee and is to be holy for you; eat only what is taken directly from the fields.

13 In this Year of Jubilee everyone is to return to his own property.

14 If you sell land to one of your countrymen or buy any from him, do not take advantage of each other. 15You are to buy from your countryman on the basis of the number of years since the Jubilee. And he is to sell to you on the basis of the number of years left for harvesting crops. 16When the years are many, you are to increase the price, and when the years are few, you are to decrease the price, because what he is really selling you is the number of crops. 17Do not take advantage of each other, but fear your God. I am the LORD your God.”

There is quite a bit more to this jubilee thing in Leviticus that you can read for yourself, but to me, what YHWH was trying to establish for the people was a systematic program of forgiveness; a kind of re-set button to prevent the extremes of poverty and uber-wealth we see in the world today. Additionally, YHWH was modeling the concept of as above-so below with this command. In other words, God wants us to observe times of activity and rest in all aspects of our lives, including the life of our families and communities. I’m sure there are Jews in the world who continue to practice jubilee years, although I couldn’t find any agreement on the internet about when the next actual jubilee year will be. But I’m not a Jew anyway.

What if we just said that 2009 is the next jubilee year? What if we just decide to keep the jubilee going until “…Israel [the children of God] is cleansed from all guilt of fornication, and uncleanness, and pollution, and sin, and error, and dwelleth with confidence in all the land, and there will be no more a satan or any evil one, and the land will be clean from that time for evermore.” This quote is from the Book of Jubilees, an apocryphal text (and fascinating document) that didn’t make it into the Hebrew Bible.

Okay, I know this is a really huge idea to wrap your mind around, but what if all banks forgave all loans, today, and every loan the banks owed was also forgiven, all the way up and down the line? Could it work? What if the US Government forgave all loans to states and cities? What if every country forgave loans owed by other countries? What if we all just declared do-overs? I’m not smart enough to figure such a thing out, but I’ll bet someone out there is.

I have to think a little smaller. It all begins on the individual level, anyway. Robert F. Kennedy said “Few will have the greatness to bend history itself; but each of us can work to change a small portion of events, and in the total of all those acts will be written the history of this generation... It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is thus shaped. Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.”

What I’m suggesting is to do what you can do. If someone owes you money and you are doing okay without it, forgive the debt and (more importantly) forgive the person. Can you feel the healing inherent in this idea? The idea of “owing” encompasses a lot more territory than just money, too. When you’re keeping score or holding a grudge, you keep yourself and the other in bondage, attached to the past, unable to move on. Did you just think of someone? Forgive them! Let it go and let’s jubilee!

Expand your mind, and think of more you could forgive. Maybe you could forgive your ex for being such a @%$*&. Maybe you could forgive your parents or your neighbor or the guy who cut you off in traffic. Maybe you could forgive your former boss for laying you off when he had no choice. Maybe you could forgive the politicians or the media or the terrorists. Maybe you could forgive the Wall Street bigwigs. “Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord” means that God has a really great method for teaching every person the lessons they need to learn - it’s called karma.

A jubilee is also known as a joyful time or season of celebration.

In the spirit of our fresh new year, in the spirit of hope engendered by our new President, can we truly being to forgive? Can we be re-born to our higher selves, to a consciousness of realizing that everything is God and everything belongs to God, and we’re just playing with the stuff of God anyway? How can I owe God-stuff to you, or vice versa?

What is Leadership? Who is the Leader?
Leadership is the act of focusing and directing the vision of a group. Ideally the vision is created by the group, not the leader. The leader is the person who keeps the focus and via cooperation, guides the group to accomplish the vision.

What and who does it take?
It takes the will of the group to go forward. It takes every member of the group, with whatever ability every member has, what every person can give, and with all their personality quirks. What seems to be a quirk is a talent and can be a catalyst. The leader focuses everyone toward the vision.

We have entered the Age of Aquarius, with the electric energy of the sign of Aquarius, his planet Uranus and the Seventh Ray encompassing everything and everybody on earth. All life on earth is now living and moving within Aquarian energy. For 72 years we will be adjusting to the 29th degree of Aquarius. For over 2,000 years, humanity has gotten used to the comparatively gentle energy of Pisces, with the devotion of Neptune and the Sixth Ray. Now we adjust to Aquarius. Why is this important to leadership? Because the old ways are out of date, the new is with us and leaders need to adjust. Some signs get along more easily with Aquarian energy than others, and this is discussed below.

Now let’s get to the astrology of how people of different signs interact. Please keep in mind this is extremely simplified, focusing on the sun signs only. Each person is a complexity of every planet and sign and it is not possible to write about all the complexities. So we are talking about signs with their potentials.

The people who start things, the initiators, leaders are the cardinal signs: are Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn. Each leads according to their qualities. The leaders of the zodiac make quick decisions and usually do not look back. They get bored quickly and stir things up when things get stagnant. They don’t like detail and need others to keep track of them. They also need others to maintain or manage once the vision is manifested.

Aries jumps into the new, seen as an adventure, and fearlessly goes forward, inspiring others with his vision. Aries is so focused on the vision and the excitement of a new beginning, he does not contemplate the details. Aries is more likely to go it alone in the beginning, and if he is wise he will delegate the management and details. The personality quirk of Aries is apparent lack of sensitivity and selfishness. Aries gets along with Aquarius, meaning Aries leaders will be able to creatively lead during the change brought by the Age of Aquarius.

Cancer jumps into a new activity with the enthusiasm of feelings, and is able to inspire others because of her joyful conviction towards the activity. Cancer is prone to treating the group as family, and is sensitive towards their feelings. If the group gets out of synch, Cancer does all possible to discover the cause to alleviate hurt emotions. Cancer is likely to bring food to comfort the group. The personality quirk of Cancer is being too emotional and basing decisions on emotionalism. Cancer is off balance with Aquarius, meaning the emotionalism of Cancer is not comfortable with the abstractness of the Age of Aquarius. Cancer will need to adjust and set aside emotions and use her will to develop and lead friends instead of family during the changes brought about in the Age of Aquarius.

Libra is the social butterfly of leaders, and begins social activities or makes mundane things social. Libra inspires others with his grace and diplomacy in presenting the vision. Libra likes law and fairness, and will lead accordingly, being upset if things don’t go according to the rules or is unfair to others. Libra will beautify surroundings to create harmony, and will lead via cooperation, bending over backwards trying to balance the needs and energies of the group. Libra makes snap decisions for the group. The only vacillating decisions are in Libra’s personal life. The personality quirk of Libra is to anger quickly when plans are unexpectedly changed and needing to be liked to the point of being a doormat. Libra gets along well with Aquarius, meaning Libra can lead with grace, cooperation and equality during the changes brought about in the Age of Aquarius.

Capricorn is the patient leader, understanding the element of time and timing. Capricorn is more comfortable leading within a company than beginning her own activity. Capricorn is a natural teacher, patiently teaching the group to practically understand the vision. Capricorn will patiently inspire others to bring their ideas to the vision and help them accomplish them. Capricorn is the persistent worker, and will lose himself in the endeavor. The personality quirk of Capricorn is expecting others to be as practical and focused as himself, sometimes being too strong a taskmaster. Capricorn is a next-door neighbor of Aquarius, and understands the abstract nature during the changes brought about in the Age of Aquarius.

Now we go to the managers of the zodiac, the so-called fixed or stable signs which are Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius. These signs are in tension with the Age of Aquarius and will need to change their way of control or management.

Taurus is the practical manager who patiently manages the checkbook. Taurus grounds the vision, continually bringing attention to practical needs. She will restrain extravagance and moderate change for change sake. Financial details are Taurus’ strength and will keep the vision fiscally sound and solvent. The personality quirk of Taurus is stubborn refusal to change and taking a long time to make a decision. Taurus has a hard time with Aquarius, meaning the abstract, seemingly cold changes in the Age of Aquarius are uncomfortable. This is the time Taurus needs to make that once-in-a-lifetime change of mind in order to function properly during the changes brought about in the Age of Aquarius.

Leo is the proud, dramatic manager who needs attention and a title to function properly, but brings creative ideas to the vision. Leo is social, and will manage with flair and a potentially expensive social setting. He is comfortable with those who are financially successful and is able to approach those in high positions to the benefit of the vision. The personality quirk of Leo is spending too much money and holding on to an idea after it has outlived its usefulness. Leo is opposite Aquarius. Leo wants to hold on to his cherished position, ideas and has a desire to be obeyed. He will have difficulty understanding the need to manage as an equal in the group, but by cultivating friendship instead of demanding obedience, Leo can succeed during the changes brought about in the Age of Aquarius.

Scorpio is the manager of the investments, insurance and tax interests of the vision. She has the ability to see and plan what is needed financially in the future and is why she stubbornly plans and invests. Scorpio wants the group to function with close relationships which can cause friction if some members don’t want this. The personality quirk of Scorpio is stubbornly insisting on her own way. Scorpio has control issues with Aquarius, meaning she could have a hard time with the new, abstract ways of managing unless she cultivates friendships during the changes brought about in the Age of Aquarius.

Aquarius is the manager of people, and can make what seems to be cold decisions which are based on unemotional analysis of the situation that takes the future into consideration and end up for the betterment of people. Aquarius manages with friendship and equality, bringing the group together for idea sessions and chooses what he knows to be best for the long-term benefit of the vision. The personality quirk of Aquarius is covert control of the group for Aquarius’ own ends. Aquarius and the Age of Aquarius obviously get along, they are one. The Aquarius person should be comfortable with the fast electric energy changes brought about in the Age of Aquarius.

Now we go to the communicators of the zodiac, the so-called mutable or flexible signs. They are Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces. These signs like to be with others, like to talk, tell stories and have a good sense of humor.

Gemini is the salesman and one of the diplomats of the zodiac who sees all sides of a situation and can charmingly bring others together. Gemini is skilled in explaining the vision and how it benefits everyone. When there are misunderstandings, either of the vision or between people, Gemini is the one who can help. He is one of the social butterflies of the zodiac and brings social brightness to the vision and its activity. The personality quirk of Gemini is talking too much and saying what others want to hear instead of being candid. Gemini and Aquarius get along very well, meaning Gemini can explain the changes brought by the Age of Aquarius so others can understand and cooperate.

Usually Virgo is quiet, introspective and analytical. Virgo concentrates on detail and talks about the details of the vision, not the concept. This talent enables others to understand the sequential steps necessary. Virgo wants to concentrate on practicalities, wants perfection and will work hard to accomplish it. The personality quirk of Virgo is to criticize what she does not understand. Virgo has a hard time getting along with Aquarius, not understanding the abstract concept. This means Virgo needs to adjust to being friendly, try to grasp the abstract big picture during the changes brought about in the Age of Aquarius.

Sagittarius is the traveler and scholar of the zodiac, who loves to travel in order to learn. Sagittarius will communicate new ideas learned during those travels, whether actual or scholarly. He is a peacemaker, and will do what he can to bring harmony to the group. Sagittarius makes friends with those from all walks of life, and welcomes all, opening the group to ideas from the seemingly “foreign.” The personality quirk of Sagittarius is being insensitive to emotion and being unavailable because of his travels. Sagittarius gets along wonderfully with Aquarius, meaning Sagittarius will easily communicate the abstract ideas during the changes brought about in the Age of Aquarius.

Pisces is the sensitive communicator, and has vision and compassion. She is creative and the most visual of the group, and can see the vision presented by the leader. Pisces can creatively explain so others can see and patiently instruct those who have a difficult time understanding. When Pisces believes in the vision, she is devoted and passionately talks about it and with her charm, persuades others. The personality quirk of Pisces is to be vague and to retreat when overwhelmed. Pisces is a next-door neighbor to Aquarius and is understanding of Aquarius eccentricness, and can put Aquarius ideal of equality and friendship into reality during the changes brought about in the Age of Aquarius.

So you see that Aries, Gemini, Libra, Sagittarius and Aquarius will adapt well to the changes brought about in the Age of Aquarius. Leo could experience opposition if he insists on obedience or being the only star. Cancer and Virgo need to adjust to a more abstract and seemingly impersonal way, and Capricorn and Pisces are somewhat neutral during the changes. Taurus and Scorpio have a tense time during the changes if they don’t loosen up and be flexible because the financial ways are being replaced. Some of this is already evident. We are already in the first phase of the 72-year transition from 29 degrees Aquarius.

"The way there is long and painful," they warned, "but once there, once awake, you will know a rich and deep joy in a kind of detail that you have never been able, even now you cannot imagine because of the difference in the molecular arrangement, to fathom. The detail is what brings people back. The detail and the pain."

With those words, they disappeared, leaving me to wonder exactly what they meant. They never joked - not about things like descent and materialization in the presence of one who was about to make the journey. Something I couldn't imagine? That in itself was hard to imagine. Something about the difference in molecular structure.

I set about preparing. I fixed in my mind all that I held dear: the clouds, the colors of our radiance, the rippling ascension that kept me buoyant, cell by cell; my beloveds, the dance, the companions whose smiling essence affirmed me always; and my journeys into the Waveform. As I moved into these awarenesses, I felt myself rise and become lighter. The first stuff was packed.

I thought of the fragments whose cries had sailed into my heart, and I saw the floating whole suggesting itself holographically above, around, and even graphically in their midst. I couldn't imagine that I would become like those fragments, forgetting everything in the trance of becoming. I looked forward to emerging in their midst and urging their eyes through the mist they saw as solid barriers. I had had so much training. I knew I could help. It was my destiny - my myafora. I felt myself beginning to exult and let myself disintegrate just a little. It felt so good.

"When you're there, there will be other things like this," I heard. "There will be the temptation to disintegrate a lot. You have to be careful, because there is a lot of resistance there to the effects of disintegration. People who have been there for a very long time, even some from this level, become upset, they solidify around you, make it difficult for you to continue. It's where a lot of people lose the long focus, forget.

It's not like disintegrating here. There, other people get very attracted to you when you disintegrate. It's appealing, particularly to people in desire, or to people who like to manipulate. They don't think very much of people who stay focused. They've created an environment that really promotes fragmentation."

I was beginning to get bored. I knew all of this. It was the main thing we all focused on: Don't disintegrate there. Stay focused. And then, of course, was the other mandate. Play.

So I pulled myself back into my colors, into the Waveform, and into the mantra which had shown itself to me, the one that I knew must be unspoken until. I didn't know any more than that. Just until. I saw the spiral begin to form. I began my descent.

I was pulled, a feather in a vacuum cleaner, through everything I had ever been aware of - every cellular memory, every chaotic moment of becoming, every brilliant explosion of awareness as consciousness burst through old membranes which shattered and fell apart, crying in desperation and raging in wrathful indignation and complete terror.

Breath was gone, the pulse of being had magnified and drummed in unbearable decibels through layers of tissue that lay heavily and close around me, were me but not me. I panicked.

"NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!" I screamed inside myself. What was this craziness?

A momentary relief blew into my awareness - my colors in a musical scheme that was Mother.

A river of calm wound through my fear, a broad, slow, paley opalescent, murky bluish white that was empty of agenda. I floated on it awhile and felt myself carried into lifetimes of ease and friendship. Would this continue? Was this real? Was it something I could count on? And if so, when, And if not, why?

Sadness seeped up through me and pulled my bulk down into this matrix in which I floated helplessly, comforted and powerless. Oh, where was life? What had I done? There was nothing here - emptiness echoed in endless seeking through the pale ectomorphic resonance. This was something I didn't know. I knew I had prepared thoroughly for this. How was it that there was something I couldn't place? Dim memories of warnings about forgetfulness popped shallowly inside my head, ghosts of something - a rich exchange between student and teacher, somewhere. Who was I - the student or the teacher? When would I be I again? Did I have to wait through this whole journey to feel like me again?

I fell. Suddenly and steeply, my self shot down, pulled again by something I had not foreseen and could not stop. A dark and wind-ravaged abyss pulled me down, shrieking. I knew I wasn't making a sound, and I was shrieking inside my being, splitting myself into disparate, angry pieces I could not identify. Oh my God, oh my God, help me. Help Me!

The wind became one long mourning sound. The fall became one smooth ribbon of darkly solid substance strong enough to bear my anger and the weight of my sorrow and almost comforting. It was bitter, though. As I traveled in it, on it, I shuddered with its bitterness. I wanted out. I wanted home. I wanted whoever I was.

Had I made this up? Was I in charge? No. This could not be. This was foreign to everything I knew or could imagine. Grief opened its dark blue mouth and swallowed me. I closed my eyes and tried to disappear.

This is the way many people feel all their lives. This is why you decided to descend. This is not your path. Do you still want to go?

It was over. Everything was normal again. I lay gasping inside the fibers of my translucent, beautiful shell of pastel allegro. I wept with relief and rose spontaneously and fast into the golden shaft. I felt my radiance around me, shimmering with familiar blessing, the way I was supposed to be.

Now that I have gone and come back, I can tell you that it felt like almost drowning and suddenly popping up out of the water, desperate mouth open for the breath that one had come to believe would never come. Oh, my Creator, how You become.

I slowed my drift and attended to the question which was the order of the moment. I pulled in and focused on the hell I had just been in. I saw it, and I saw its format and matrix, saw the tube in which it had formed and the dark corner which it kept alive by its intent. My radiance now flowing in its familiar ripples gave access to thoughtful consideration of the question whose answer must be truthful.

Always the beautiful answer the more beautiful question.

I saw the horror, I saw myself small, dense and totally overwhelmed.

"Will I have to feel like that?"

"You won't have to feel anything you don't want to. But you may not know how to control what you want."

"Will there be others from home around me?"

"There will always be home around you. You just have to be aware of it."

A long pause.

"That's the challenge."

I heard the endless wailing of the place. I opened my arms toward the vision and moved closer so this wounded moment could suckle at my breast. I nursed and felt the rush of peace. I let the sadness move into my opened heart and felt it push out of my throat, felt it roll down my cheeks. It tasted sour and afraid. I looked at the moment in detail. The falling, the denseness, the complete terror, the disavowal of self. I saw it all and I could not help but love it.

"Well, yes. What else am I going to do that will be as effective?" I said.
