This has been a time of great pain and of great change. With the earthquake in Haiti, we are working with the souls of those who have passed (helping them to realize they are dead and where to find the Light) and we are assisting people who are trapped or feeling hopeless (by being there in the astral and comforting them). In addition, we are part of a huge transformation that is going on inside of each of us and on the whole planet.

In response to the earthquake, we are invited to hug the people we care about, cherishing the life we have and that they have. And we honor the sacrifice and the gift these passing souls in Haiti are giving. The gift is to see countries unite to help a shaken nation. Nations will see each other differently, more compassionately and kindly after working side by side in the relief effort. People will rise above their petty concerns to face this crisis. We have a chance to use this time to feel how precious each person is -- for no other reason than just being.

The United States will regain some of the respect that it had in former days due to our prompt response to the relief effort. We will also experience a positive change in the economic system — for, like a time of war, the economy will be stimulated in odd ways — helping economic recovery. Finally, we must appreciate the gift this crisis has given of allowing people to be brave and generous, and united in their humanity and their connection with each other and the Light.

The situation in Haiti is part of our transformation to our crystalline states of conscious. We have started a cycle of being more sensitive, more aware, and often times, more anxious. This is the year that you will come into more of your essence and tune into your own crystalline nature.

Crystals know they are perfect. Their beauty and their growth are perfect. This is what you will be tuning into this year—your own perfection, your own inner growth as perfection. This is also the source of your being hyper sensitive (you are able to resonate with the world more deeply) and the source of amplified feelings (crystal amplify energy).

The difficulties will yield and become assets as the year progresses. First,it is important to be very gentle with your feelings and with other’s feelings. Secondly, notice when you are being sensitive to worldwide events such as earthquakes, political unrest, and conflicts. Often times, you will feel sensitive, uneasy, ecstatic, and simply more human and alive.

Tune into the crystals around you for they will assist you to work through these energies. Wear crystals more often as it will help you to smooth out the energy and learn how to manage ne levels of power and awareness. Keep praying for the people in Haiti but also keep appreciating the transformation that this gift will bring.

Question:
The glaciers in the Himalayan Mountains seem to be decreasing at an alarming rate. These glaciers, including the snow accumulations, are extremely important to the countries of India, Pakistan and China. Since 1960 almost one-fifth of the Indian Himalayas’ ice coverage has disappeared. This is a land that expects to have a large population explosion as these nations develop. With this in mind, many areas depending on this runoff will dry out, forcing much famine and migration as the population expands. What do the Masters have to say about this development? Is the disappearing of the glaciers too far into the future for us to worry about? Will steps be taken now or within five years or so to insure water for these areas?

Answer:
There is no need to worry about the population explosion because it will not happen. World economic situations are in the process of collapse and that will, in turn, mean a simpler, although not poor, life style. The population explosion will not happen. The cause of the glacier melt is a natural phenomenon. The earth is still coming out of the last mini-ice age. Expect more run-offs for a while. In about fifty years the glaciers will begin to build again. Don’t worry about it. There is not one thing humans can do about it. The climate change we are experiencing is because the solar system is moving into a new position in the galaxy. In addition to our solar system going around the galactic center, our solar system is moving into a place in the galaxy where there is more light. (Remember the concern about the photon belt? We are moving into it.) More light causes an excitation or speeding up of the motion of atoms in everything. The people who are on the edge mentally and emotionally are going over the edge because of the discomfort caused by the excitement in the speeding up of their atoms and molecules. This is one cause of mental and emotional illness and violence. The acceleration of particles and energy from the Ray of Aquarius is hard on the people whose bodies are vibrationally in the beginning of the Piscean Age. Beginning Piscean Age bodies have more water than the new Aquarian bodies. When the electricity or energy of the universe travels through water it is accelerated. This means the beginning Piscean bodies are experiencing an acceleration of their vibrations, which can be uncomfortable.

Note: Beginning Piscean Age bodies means those who began a round of incarnations in the beginning of the Piscean Age or the Age of Christianity. The body elemental holds the pattern of your physical body from the last incarnation to be ready for the next incarnation. If someone had not incarnated frequently enough during the passage of an Age to live in and absorb higher vibrations, the body elemental pattern would be of an earlier time and vibration. That person would have a body and cultural outlook of an earlier vibration.

Note 2: The Masters have said many times the financial systems of the world are collapsing. They have also said there would not be world-wide poverty, only a simpler life-style, with families regaining closeness.

No matter what your spiritual persuasion, be it traditional or non-traditional, the growth process requires being honest with yourself about your thoughts, motivations and actions.

When I was in Catholic School we were taught the spiritual practice of the examination of conscience. Sister said that it was important to review the day and identify where you failed in "thought, word and deed." Today I would include the importance of also identifying where you succeeded.

This is a powerful practice for spiritual growth.

The key isn't to feel guilt or shame about where you fell short. It's crucial to make a plan for how you would handle things differently.

If you were disappointed in how you reacted in anger to someone, rewrite the situation in your mind as to how you would respond next time. The next day, find a way to make amends to the person.

As a psycho-therapist, one of the major impediments to spiritual growth is the rationalizations concocted to excuse the behavior. "I was tired." "He was rude." "She just doesn’t understand."

If you truly believe you create your reality, excuses have no place. Taking responsibility is the only course of action. Only when you take responsibility for your thoughts, words and deeds, can you look honestly at the situation and then make a plan of action for change.

"Being tired" is an "excuse" when it keeps you stuck in the event and prevents you from moving into growth. "Being tired" is a "reason" when you recognize your part in the situation and look for strategies to respond differently when you are tired.

If you find yourself making excuses, always putting the responsibility for what happened on someone or something other than yourself, you are limiting your growth. You are not being honest with yourself.

You are either a creator or a victim. A creator looks for ways to move beyond the reason. A victim wallows in the reason and never looks inward for the solution.
