My name is Irma Kaye Sawyer and I am new to 1 Spirit. I am pleased to be in the company of such fine teachers and lightworkers. Let me tell you a bit about myself. I live in Southern California and I have a healing practice using the modalities of massage therapy, energy healing, intuitive counseling and shamanic healing. As you can see, I wear many hats! All of these modalities have their own magic to share. I also have a flower essence and aromatherapy practice called Bright Star. I custom-blend essences for people and pets using intuitive guidance. I am a Reiki Master and have been teaching Reiki healing classes in the US and abroad since 1992.

I became a conscious channel in 1997. The Guides that work with me are bringing forth another Reiki system which will be available later this year. Whether you are a 'newbie' or an 'old-timer' to the metaphysical/spiritual growth path, I want to remind you how important you are. Your talents, your strengths and uniqueness are needed. Your life will touch so many others. It is important to take Good Care ofyourself -- to have respect, compassion and tenderness for your Self.

I am wondering how easy it is to plan or buy something special for those we love, yet not for our Self. How many in our day-to-day routine find the time for others, but not for our own precious Self? No matter how busy we are somehow the dishes get done, maybe at the expense of our meditation or dream time. Perhaps some are saying, "Gimme a break! If I could find the time I'd do it!"Here's a thought: time is not something you 'find', time is something you 'create'. When you consciously choose to create a space of quiet private time, then it will happen. And that is a big part of taking care of yourself. Plus, the dishes will somehow still get done, and you will also be better able to help others.

Loyal churchgoers organize protests against their own churches.

I have always been a gentle sort of person, and do not really approve of confrontational politics. Although, I must confess that many years ago, during the Vietnam War, I helped organize huge Peace marches in San Francisco. I, like millions of other loyal Americans, felt that the war was wrong. We believed that for it to continue for many more years, it would destroy not only that small country, but also the soul of America itself. Those protests seemed to be the only reasonable avenue for change we could think of.

Now, at the age of 74, I received in the mail a "packet of materials for use in advising parishioners who wish to use the leverage of their church contributions as a last resort in resolving disputes with their pastors." In essence, they form an independent trust fund, and have parishioners send their weekly tithes and gifts to the fund rather than to the church.

That kit is prepared by Call To Action, a large national organization calling for "progressive reforms" in the Catholic Church.

I wish them success with their desire for "women's equality in the Church." When they succeed, as eventually they will, I hope they will next work on eliminating from the teachings of the Church, the concept of Hell and Devils. When that day arrives, I will join them and use their kit.

As a child all my friends were Animals. I had horses, cows, dogs, cats and goats - all with which I experienced unlimited amounts of friendship and Love. Never did I dream my life would take me down such difficult roads, far away from my connection with the Animals.

It wasn't until many years later after being a single mother and medical professional that I began the difficult process of healing my life. This healing resulted in the awakening of the childhood telepathic links with my animal friends. The idea of our "oneness" on the planet became a reality. The final phase of preparation for the new millennium is unfolding in perfect Divine Order. Contrary to a few fear mongers and some people who thrive on the drama and trauma of our Earthly existence, the new millennium is bursting upon the screen of life with unprecedented opportunities.

Humanity now has the ability to reach up in consciousness and communicate with our Higher Selves. When we do, we are empowered and inspired to reach into the deepest recessed of our Beings where we can draw on the Divine Wisdom, Knowledge, Talent, Skills, Courage and Strength that is lying dormant there. The wellsprings of unmanifest human potential that are pulsating in our hearts, contain the Truth of who we are and why we are on Earth during this wondrous moment of Awakening. Once we tap that Truth, we begin to remember that we are not pathetic, limited, struggling, dysfunctional failures, but rather, we are Beloved Sons and Daughters of God.

As Sons and Daughters of God, we have the ability to use our creative faculties of thought and feeling to cocreate lives that reflect the original Divine Intent of our Earthly experience, which is Heaven on Earth. This Spring Equinox, first sunrise for the new year (March 21, 1999), may very well be the turning point we have been waiting for. We can certainly feel the building pressure of transformation. Centered between two full moons, the entrance into the Maya New Year of 10 MANIK will be a year of transformation, healing, and most of all, the ability to manifest our souls’ desires. The two full moons, March 1 and March 31, will not happen again until 2018! This Mayan year will also take us into the Gregorian year of 2000. So now more that ever before, the universe is asking us to be of clear intent. We are going to manifest exactly what we have been preparing for.
