I live in the mountains, where Spring is beautiful and unpredictable. As I drove to perform a wedding in the garden of a Taos B&B, I worried about the wind, which was gusting up to 40 miles an hour. I conferred with the Groom and immediate family, who decided to "go for it" - have the wedding outside. The Bride made her entrance, radiant in a pearl-studded wedding dress & veil.

It's always the same, and it's always different, this unique journey I take with each couple: There were giggles, as the wind tried to capture the Bride's veil & her mother had to re-attach it, again & again. And there were tears - the Groom was especially emotional, barely able to whisper his vows. At the end of the ceremony, the Bride surrendered to the wind - throwing her veil in the air, like an ecstatic graduate tossing her cap.

We recently hosted a family from England in our home. Our daughters are grown and away from home so it was a great treat to have children here. We got to know the wonderful spirits of Kelly, fourteen years old, and Kirsty, eleven. Both girls are very artistic and spent time drawing in their sketch books. I invited them to join me in my studio for a watercolor lesson. Little did I know I would be the one receiving lessons, life lessons that is!

I demonstrated an abstract painting for them. They caught on very quickly and jumped in without hesitation. Soon they had completed their first paintings and were eagerly waiting for me to catch up. Their paintings were filled with light and were very beautiful. I was amazed at how quickly they took to the lesson and their total lack of fear in trying a new medium. Soon, Kelly and Kirsty had produced several incredible painting for family and friends.

Sometimes Spirit sends us children for our learning as well as theirs. We had so much fun creating together and time just flew! I learned from the girls that fear of criticism is learned behavior, that to be creative takes little time if you're excited about your work, and the simplicity of a child's expression is more exciting than the laboring of my brushstrokes. Thank you Kelly and Kirsty for my lessons and keep painting!

My home is surrounded by national forest. My friend and I decided to take a hike to see if we could see any of the local wildlife. We hiked for over two hours and saw many signs of where wildlife had recently been, had spent the night or had passed away, but alas, no living representations.

Tiring from the elevation and my physical status, I opted to take a shortcut home and ended up sitting on my front porch. While waiting for the person with the house key to return, I heard some branches breaking in the path alongside of my house. I thought it was my friend returning. To my surprise, two huge elk came barreling through the bushes right past my front porch. My friend returned very disappointed having not seen any wildlife and I had to laugh.

There's cruelty in the world, cruelty sometimes beyond belief. What do we do with that, how do we hold it?

I was recently guided to work with this issue. I imagined God/Goddess, the void of unlimited potential, and the first-seed beings out of It. These are incorruptible, acting now as our I Am Presences and other high-level awareness.

The beings stepped far enough down--not only humans, but many lighter plane beings as well--have the choice to feel separate from divinity, and thus to be cruel. Would I deny them this freedom? "Yes!" I said. "Yes, yes yes!! What am I doing in the free will sector of the universe?!"

"So you would not allow the freedom of God?" my spirit asked. "Freedom means total freedom, not limited freedom." "That's right," I answered.

When you are energetically out of balance and trying to help others, what really happens? Do you send love and light based on how you believe others should be or how you think they should be helped? When you send love, is it love or is it energy? These are absolutely the most important questions you need to ask yourself.

If we think we are sending love -- and it¹s actually energy -- are we intensifying and distorting another person¹s creation, as well as our own? Are we hurting others when we think we¹re helping?

How many of us love ourselves unconditionally? Do you love the way you look? Your hairline? Your body shape? Do you love every aspect of your life? Your job? Your house? Your family?

When there are parts of ourselves we do not love, how can we send love and light to others? What kind of energy do we think we¹re sending? Will the energy we send be distorted by our own inability to love ourselves unconditionally?

What is your experience of love? Have you ever been loved completely? Did your parents love you completely? Was their love ever enough? It wasn¹t until later in life that most of us realized our parents could only love us as much as they loved themselves. Is this also true for us? Can we only love others as much as we love ourselves?

In your relationships, do you and your partner love each other equally? Most of us would say we love our partners more, hoping that as they experience our love for them, they will learn to love us equally. Has this happened yet?

Not only do most of us not fully love ourselves, our energetic fields are mixed with others. I find my client¹s energetic fields are usually projected outward several hundred yards. When our fields are projected away from our bodies that far, everything negative going on around us affects our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual bodies. When our fields are out and we send energy to others who have their fields projected out also, will the collective consciousness around those we try to help energetically rebound and tap in on us, distorting our energy even further?

Sending love, light, and energy to others when we have not learned to love ourselves unconditionally, will in return attract what we do not love within ourselves. Isn¹t there an easier way to learn our lessons?

What I advocate is to BE love. To BE love is to love ourselves unconditionally and have unconditional compassion for others. This is the beginning of the path to having unconditional love for all creation.

AFTER-DEATH CONTACTS
After-death contacts (ADCs) supply additional astonishing data that indicate life survives physical passing. Research polls show that 25% of Americans and 33% of Europeans report having seen ghosts; those numbers swell to 66% for widows whose husbands have passed on and 75% for parents whose children have crossed over. In Hello from Heaven, the Guggenheims shared over 300 ADC cases. Especially convincing are validation or confirmation cases experienced by more than one person at a time. For example, Lauren saw the form of her “deceased” brother Donald outside the church window during his funeral service. He was strolling happily and briskly, without the limp and pain he had suffered with for years. After the service, Lauren’s sister-in-law, Joyce, approached her excitedly and said, “Did you see Donald? I saw him too!”

This data constitutes impressive proof that death—like adolescence and midlife—is an important phase in life that is completely safe. Ask your family and friends if they have experienced ADCs and realize how common they are. Most importantly, how does this information shape the way you live NOW? After much transformation, we are experiencing the technical difficulties of running a greater amount of energy through our personal grids. With the increase of energy, there has been spacing out, confusion, and lots of strange interpersonal situations. We healed part of the Earth grid and avoided a bigger earthquake but personal lives are being examined for truth, authenticity, and viability in this new time. Any person, place, or thing that has been helping you stay blocked will now have to shift. You are shifting and the circumstances around you must shift or be eliminated. Be gentle with your opinion of yourself-you will not be able to operate out of old or traditional paradigms. The need to accept oneself (and others) is stronger than ever-your soul needs to be honored. Self-criticism, self-blame, and disapproval are not an option.

New ways are uploading for dealing with increased levels of energy. Take time to relax-do things that appeal to the inner child. This will help to balance the greater responsibility that old souls are confronted with during the upload. It is all right, you are not crazy-things that could be tolerated before are being cleared out at a rapid rate while new ways of thinking are alarming the old coping mechanisms. Dare to have your dreams come true and do the physical things necessary to support your spiritual progress. Not a comfortable time, but it can be exciting.
