During these difficult times it is very easy for us to become overwhelmed with all of the negative news that is bombarding us through the media. That is why it is so vitally important that we pay attention to what we are allowing ourselves to focus on. Our thoughts and feelings are creative and whatever we focus our attention on we empower and sustain in our lives. In other words, where our attention is...there we are. It is time for us to realize how very powerful the focus of our attention is. We need to listen to our hearts and ask our I AM Presence what we can do in a positive way to deal with the difficult things that are surfacing to be healed in our individual lives and on the planet.

Remember, whatever we are focusing on with our thoughts, words, actions or feelings, we are empowering, cocreating and magnetizing into our lives. That means that daily and hourly we need to ask ourselves, “Is what I AM thinking, feeling, saying, and doing this moment what I want to create and sustain in my life or am I focusing on my fears?” If we are not focusing on what we want to create in our lives, we need to ask ourselves, “What do I want to empower with my thoughts, words, actions, and feelings instead of my fears?” Then we need to put forth the concentrated effort to change what we are thinking, feeling, saying and doing. The time for us to take control of our thoughts and feelings has never been more critical.

For over eight years now, I have been helping clients all over the world to heal their relationship with money. Don Alejandro Cirilo Perez Oxlaj, Itinerant Ambassador of the Indigenous Pueblos Mayas, Xinca and Garifuna of Guatemala, and President of the National Council of Elders Mayas, Xinca and Garifuna, and his wife Elizabeth Araujo, honored our Maya pilgrimage group this past march with a short visit and a great message about our current times that we are in.

Don Alejandro gave this talk on March 17th, 2009, in Antigua, Guatemala. (His words were left just as they were received)

Well my dear brothers and sisters. Welcome to the Maya land in Guatemala. Thank you, Aluna Joy. It is by destiny that we are traveling in the same path. We met with Aluna under this mountain that is covered with a veil of white clouds that is Mount Shasta. And then later on, about 3 years ago, we met in Sedona. We always come across in our paths, because I think that we are traveling the same roads looking for a human understanding that we all are human beings of equal values. A thousand thanks for your presence here. And thanks to this day, in the name of the heart of the heavens, and the heart of the earth. Today is Kan, the day of the great Quetzalcoatl. In other words, it is the day of the Creator. And to see you here, with all the strength of my heart, welcome.

I could ask you "What are you doing in Guatemala?" But then you could ask me the same thing when I over there in the States, "What are you doing here?" Because each one of us, we travel to different parts of the world. But what are we looking for? We are looking for love and understanding among all beings that inhabit the Earth. We are searching for something in our minds for what we can do to defend Mother Earth, because we see that we are leaving a world that is very contaminated now.

So many things are happening now that we are already seeing and many more that are coming. And all this, I have already announced it. I started talking about these things 30 years ago when I began traveling in the name of the National Council of Elders. I started talking about these things 30 years ago, but now is when the scientists are beginning to speak about what they are seeing and what is happening.

What I hear, over and over from everywhere, is about the year 2012. There are messengers that come and speak from their heart, like me, and we don't intimidate people. There are other messengers that speak, but there is the money issue behind (them). It is like many people that used to read and read, so then they write lots of books about this because they know it is a big business. And then they are all are talking from the point of view of what the books say and many times they are putting fear into people. But for us, the Mayans, it is only a change of the Sun . . . a change of a cycle of the Sun. it is not the first time this is going to happen nor will it be the last.

Our ancestors studied time until they were able to control time. And since then, once they have finalized with the count, they starting counting. And since that time, we are finalizing the 5th period of the Sun. So it is not the first that this is going to happen. So you are traveling here in the land of the Mayas, and Mayan prophesy tells us, we are the ones of yesterday, and we are the ones of now, and we will be the ones of tomorrow. That's why we continue living from generation to generation. And just like you are traveling to different parts of the world, you not only come to the land of the Mayans, you can go to the lands of the Incas, or to Egypt, India, or China. There is great knowledge in all of those places. There are works that are thousands and thousands of years old in all of those places. And in those places, it is written the time that we have gone through.

So for us the time that is coming to us, is a time of change. And for us the Mayas, it is joy and happiness. They are saying in 2012 that this will end. So for us, the Mayans, if it were to happen in 2012, oh, how happy it would be. And our Creator, he will leave seeds from different regions for the future. So you, when that time comes, you will be prepared. It is best to live in the countryside. Don't live high up in the sky, in the high rises, because when the electricity doesn't work, you will be stuck up there. All this technology and communication, you know that it depends on electric energy. All that is going to stop. All the means of transportation will stop too. And the money will be worthless. As you travel through North America, you can find places where there are writings that the ancestors left. And in places such as Chaco Canyon, Mesa Verde and other places like these, you can go there and see that it is written all the different eras in time. So when this change happens, we have to explore once again, to start like new with new ways of how to make a living. So the life of the natives in any place, they are very close to their agriculture. So this is what is coming, but it is ahead of us.

Racism is going to end. The laws of men will end, because the judges, or the law now, you can buy it . . . you can pay for it. Now people are loaded with a lot of weapons and there is a lot of killing around. You go to jail and you come in front of the judge, and the judge gives his sentence, so many years of jail, because he knew that you had committed many, many sins. But then they say that there is so much fine, and the person pays the fine, so the person can buy his freedom. There is no justice now. It is the money that speaks. But all of this will come to an end. The time will come when the money is worthless. So many will have lots of it, but there is nothing to buy with it.

But the most dangerous things that we see is the rupture of the ozone layers. It is called the ozone layers. More than 30 years ago, I started traveling and I was telling them that the ozone layers are rupturing. Because our ancestors, they had discovered what is up there in the galaxies. They have seen that at a very long distance from the sun there is a layer of ice, but it is very, very thick. Now because this is broken, this ozone layer, that is like a layer of ice. Then the rays of the Sun, they come straight to the Earth. The Mayan Elders, they call it the Crystal Zone, because the strength of the sun crystallizes there because it is cool. So when the Sun's rays reaches us, it is very soothing, the warmth that it gives. But when this is broken, and the hot sun rays come directly to us, it changes. And year after year, the opening gets larger and larger. So the time can come when the Sun rays are so strong, if it reaches fields of oil and petroleum, it can catch fire. So this is what is happening . . . what is coming. But this is happened in sections, in different parts of the world. It is not in the whole Earth. We are thinking that this will happen sooner or later. What is coming up on us, is the illnesses that are coming caused by that. It is all due to the big contamination that we are leaving. And we can say the scientists with their inventions, they contaminated the space. It is not all like that. The scientists, they had their inventions, they explore their minds. But we are buying it. And we all use all of this technology. When we travel, we travel by train, by planes, by cars, and we use computers, telephones . . . we use all of this technology. So we are also contributing. And it is because of this technology that we are here together and talking to each other. So the contamination comes from everyone. So it is like we are causing, and we have to support what is coming too . . . the consequences.

Many people speak about the times that are coming. Some are saying, don't worry we are going to do ceremony, and they call for everyone to bring their crystal skulls, and we are going to do ceremony with the skulls to alleviate what is coming. But it is not going to work. This is something that has to happen. Nobody can stop this. It is a period of the sun that is ending, and it is a cycle that lasts 5,200 years. And we know that we are in the last Katun. There are 13 Katuns and we are living at the end of the last one. So this is the time when we don't know exactly if it is going to be 2012 or if it is going to be later on. Because 2012 is a Gregorian date, sometimes it does not coincide with the Mayan calendar.

There are many reasons why we don't know exactly the timing. It has to do because when the invasion came, a little over 500 years ago, the men and women of wisdom were the first ones to be assassinated. Then Bishop Diego de Landa, during the invasion, gathered all the books where all the information was and they set them on fire. So they burned all the information. On the other hand, the calendar that was at that time in effect, they have gone through so many modifications. Like in this Mayan council, they left out days, they didn't count just to catch up with time. Then with the Gregorian Calendar, all the months are so irregular in length, like the months of 28 days, 30 days, 29 days, 31 days. So this is why it doesn't (align). But one thing is for sure, it is certain that you all will know when this happens, because it is going to be a long period of darkness. It is a change of sun; it is another sun that is coming. So like now, we see the north, and in the other time, it will a different direction. So it is a change. But all the beings on Earth, like people, animals, plants, there is always seed left behind for the next generations. So this is my message of today for you my brothers and sisters. I talk to you with all love and respect. But I'm not like a political leader that just come to speak, speak, talk, talk, talk and take off. Or like a preacher that takes his book, and he reads to you whatever he has to read, and then he says "Hallelujah", and "Goodbye". I'm a human being that came to have an interchange with you . . . to speak and dialogue with you. What I spoke, it was like greetings to you, just to take that worry off your mind for those that are concerned about it. But now is your turn, if there is something you want to ask.

Question: My question is about extra-terrestrials and what the Mayan think about them.
Don A: The members of the council of elders, we have come to realize that there are 3 different types of extra-terrestrials. 1) There are our ancestors, and they come from the constellations of stars, because there is life up there. They come to land on pyramids or volcanoes or the bottom of lakes, and these are our ancestors. 2) There is another type that they are beings from other planets. They come here to Earth. Just like from here they go the moon, or they go to investigate other planets. It is the same. They come here too, and maybe they are even more advanced than us. They could come from Jupiter, but most likely they come from the Pleiades. 3) The 3rd kind are from here, from our own land, from different countries. They are more like spies. They could be from Russia, from the United States, and different countries. The Elders of the Council when they want to find things, they go into session. But the way that they do it, each one takes a place separate from each other. And then each one of them in their own space, go into meditation . . . deep, deep meditation, and then they receive all of this knowledge. Then they come together, and they all say what they have seen. Then if everybody sees the same thing, then they say that this is what it is. Thank you.

Question: Can you say more about the 2nd sun? Is that supposed to be Jupiter or something else?
Don A: It is another sun that is right now, they have seen it but it is still far away. Maybe it is getting closer to Earth, but it is another Sun. But according to our ancestors, the most beautiful Sun that has been on Earth has been the 5th one. Because there are other Suns . . . To continue click here.

I had been living with a boyfriend for a couple of years. It was difficult between us, and I had suggested more than once that we let our relationship go; but he felt we could and would do better.

At a particularly gnarly point I escaped to Mt. Tam, north of the Golden Gate Bridge, to hike by myself. Walking to the trailhead I came upon two large jackrabbits who stayed near me calmly; never before or since have I seen them.

It is a day of extreme heat; fellow hikers sport hardly more than their underwear. I walk through the wondrous redwoods of the Steep Ravine Trail and am heading back, when I look up to see a little East Indian man trundling down the track toward me. He’s ready for an Arctic freeze: heavy wool jacket, scarf, hat, boots. When we meet, he stops me and asks, “Is there water ahead to drink?” “Yes,” I answer, and describe to him exactly how to find it. Then he asks, “Is there water back where I came from?”

This man is beginning to flirt with me outrageously; I can hardly believe it. I say, “Well, yes, but water is right on your path. Why don’t you just keep going down to drink?”

We stand there about five minutes, helping him decide which way to go for his water. I keep trying to persuade him to go down the trail, DOWN the trail, and finally he does, me breathing sighs of relief.

About a year later, studying with the Teaching of the Inner Christ, I learned about visitations from spirit in which a master, or an aspect of one’s higher self, takes physical form and appears to assist you in some way. Later in meditation I asked, “Have I ever had a visitation?” Immediately this little man pops before my eyes, laughing. “Me! Me!” he cried. “You!” I replied, incredulous.

“Who are you?” “Babaji,” he replied. Babaji is my closest master friend and mentor, the 5,000-year-old immortal written of in Autobiography of a Yogi. “But why did you come?” I asked. Then he showed me that by mirroring back to me my indecision with my boyfriend, he was helping me “get it” and move on. And in fact, not long after his visit I had said to my friend “I’m leaving,” and he said, “I’ll help you pack.”

This was what I now call a mirror visitation. As a by the way, God can be sexy!

My friend Shelley, also close to Babaji, experienced a mirror visitation with him. One evening she was looking out her window in San Francisco and noticed a man walking up the street. Every time he came to an object—tree, car—he circled it. After awhile of this, someone approached from the opposite direction—and the man disappeared before her eyes. Shelley realized she was letting herself get distracted by every little thing, rather than staying focused on where she wanted to go.

Visitations come for many purposes. One is for simple help. A friend was once in a big car crash in which the gas exploded. She had been terrified of gas ever since, and as the days of self serve were new, she had never filled her tank herself; her husband always did it.

Driving one night, she discovered she was about to run out of gas. All the stations were self serve. She pulled into one, and began shaking with fear. As she stood trying to understand how it worked, a young man came up and said, “Can I help you?” She gratefully accepted, assuming he was a kind employee. He showed her just what to do, filled the gas tank, and then walked back into the night. She was shown in meditation that he was part of her higher self. And after that, her fear was gone.

I grew up in Virginia, by the bay, and I loved the whole state so much that after I moved to California and received the teaching I wanted, I determined to move back to my home state and set up a ministry there.

I was riding on the BART in San Francisco when a woman, perfectly ordinary in appearance, entered my car. There were many empty seats, including one beside me, and for some reason I really wanted this woman to sit by me. She did, and we started up a conversation. “Do you know the way to Union Square?” she asked. I said I did and would be happy to show her. After we talked a bit, she said “You know, you’re so lucky to live in California. I’m from Kansas, and whenever I come here I just love it. It feels so alive!”

When we got off I was beginning to show her around the Square when she said, “I’m going over there now,” and left me. I felt quite disappointed.

It took me awhile to realize this was a visitation, but finally I was shown. Soon afterward I was standing at a beautiful overlook in San Francisco, loving all I saw, and a voice within said, “Virginia…is just Virginia. California is your home now.”

In my last visitation, time and space were transcended—and it’s the first visitation I’ve ever caught before it was over. I was walking into the lovely arboretum in Golden Gate Park, when I had a question arise in my mind: How do I know I’m protected? It was a sincere question for me.

I walked and sat for a time, and finally headed back. I was walking very quickly to make an appointment. I passed a bench on which sat a tiny little woman wearing a unique vest and hat, her head bent away from me as she knitted. I took a short cut just after I passed her, coming out at the entry walk, and there twenty feet ahead of me was this same tiny woman, walking quite slowly as if she were elderly. “Aha! Aha!” I cried to myself. “Something’s happening here!” I decided that as soon as I passed her, I would turn and see her clearly.

I rapidly came up behind her and as soon as I was ahead, I spun around. In the very same instant she spun around, as if we were one body, and slowly headed back into the arboretum.

As soon as I got home I went into meditation and asked for the message, which is one of the most wonderful I have received. I heard, “Though you may not see its FACE, protection is ALWAYS with you.”

Visitations are often accompanied by something unusual—like the jack rabbits—or nonsensical, even comical, like Babaji dressed for freezing weather. Or time and space out of sync. Noticing a skewed thing gives you a heads up.

A visitation teaches us, from spirit, something we want or need to know. But they are often subtle, like my BART friend; you may have had some without realizing it. You can ask about this in meditation. It isn’t necessary to receive visitations to receive all the teaching we need, because we each learn in our own way. But if you don’t think you’ve received any and would like to, ask for one.

If you have turned on the news lately or read the news on the Internet it appears as if there is a lot of free floating discontent and anxiety. It is a contagious disease called discontentitios that is making a comeback in a stronger form impacting all ages no matter what sex you are. Many people are participating in creating the stressful streams of energy that are impacting the whole and making us feel lethargic and/or upset. Others are just feeling the overall influence or experiencing hardships of their own and are feeling lost or powerless.

Yes, the world is changing at an unprecedented pace. Not everyone is in agreement regarding how the economy, government or military should be handled. A lot of people are resisting and protesting the changes. As we all know blaming others and pointing fingers is not the solution. We also know that change is inevitable! And guess what, change can be good.

Yes, there will be days when we feel like howling at the moon especially when the computer is on the blink or the stock market drops another 100 points. Just think of what you can do with this tremendous energy by turning it into something positive. Each person is part of the solution. Each person can experience peace, joy and assist humanity in creating economic, political, and social structures that are harmonious structures that support life, freedom, and happiness for all.

This disease discontentitios is easy to cure. Matter of fact, sometimes the shift we need to make comes out of visiting this place of discontentedness. Some folks need to be pushed hard in order to make a change.

Unhappiness and anxiety does not happen to us, it occurs within us. It happens when we forget our divine connection to God. Outbreaks of this condition occur when we get caught up in the energy of what is going on around us and forget where we came from. The longer we remain in this state of unhappiness and discontent, the harder it can be to move forward or to experience bliss.

I recommend that you limit your news intake. It is always good to be informed but not good to be overwhelmed. Next, look at the areas in your life where you are not happy. Instead of blaming others for your situation, ask yourself what can I do to change this? What is my role and responsibility? Begin taking steps in that direction without fear. Focus on what you want to create. Visualize it every day.

Separate yourself from the collective streams of fear and chaos consciousness. Sometimes we take what is happening to others and make it personal. Each morning see yourself surfing above the streams of negativity. You might even see an image of yourself surfing on a wave of joy that propels you forward. Or you could picture yourself stepping onto a subway that is filled with light and takes you where you need to go surrounded and supported by an empowering and protective light.

If you feel yourself joining in fear or discontent with others, take a moment pull yourself back out of that energy. Realign yourself back onto surfing above the heaviness. You could envision your surfboard made of gold that reflects all aspects of the divine to you and to the world. When you put your shoes on in the morning imagine that you are putting on your shoes of empowerment.

In what could be seen as harsh times by some, especially those who want you to join in with their drama and blow it out of proportion, aligning with the divine and standing in faith that God is directing your way is the best answer. The only way that we can hear the divine’s call to us is have our conscious awareness on the divine instead of on disasters.

Focus on what you want to achieve and instead of what is not working in your life. Release judging yourself or others. This just adds to the negativity and does not serve the expansion of the positive in your life. Remember that our spirit guides and angels are working to assist us. Ask for help. And listen.

Put your attention on what you can do and do it instead of holding others responsible for your situation. We know that where our focus is the energy follows. As you surf the wave of change, join others who are building the new dynamic that is based in love, sustainability, and inclusiveness. Ask what is mine to do, or how am I to serve?

Be the change you want to create in your own world and be part of the greater change that supports all of humanity on our planet. Let’s give inner and outer peace a chance! Many Blessings as we spring forward and embrace the energy of change.
