The last rays of summer were more vivid this year than I can remember, sparkling with fairy dust and liquid sunlight manna. Roses lingered as chalices of ambrosia scented with beckoning angel songs. The harvest was rich with color and abundance. It feels like a time of coming to together in celebration, as we deeply reflect for one another the kaleidoscopes of ancient treasures in the sanctuaries of our hearts. Wind Song of Christmas Eve In the wind song of Christmas Eve The star lit heavens part In the wind song of Christmas Eve Silver white pines MENOPAUSE: THE SPIRITUAL PERSPECTIVE By Sabra Jenny Western culture has trained women to think of menopause as a medical condition that introduces the onset of old age, and which requires treatment. However, some other cultures, both ancient and modern, that are more in tune with nature's cycles, herald this time in our lives as the coming of the Wise Woman. It is recognized as a time when women can begin a new phase of our lives and discover our true nature, as well as a whole new dimension of female power and awareness. This concept is grounded in the medical reality that brain chemistry alterations from the changes in a woman's reproductive system can birth a greater awareness, redirected motivation, and even a deep spiritual awakening. Menopause is a time of significant physical change. Uncomfortable symptoms lead many women to seek help from medical doctors. Hot flashes, disturbed sleep patterns, weight gain, memory loss, mental confusion, and fluctuating emotions can occupy our attention to the point where we fail to notice the changes going on in our deepest inner world. Also, many women go through “the change” around the time that our children are grown and leaving home to make their adult lives, or our husbands/significant others are having rocky mid-life experiences as well. All of us, male and female, have regular growth and change cycles, and middle age can be one of the most challenging. Menopause is actually one the most important changes in a woman's life, as pregnant with possibilities as the phase of motherhood. It is a time for us to honor earlier accomplishments as mother, homemaker, partner, achiever of all types, and give ourselves the respect, honor and dignity we deserve as we move forward into the new role of wise elder. Many women are now birthing their Wise Woman selves with the same joy, expectation, and excitement that they gave to their newborns, and I encourage you to anticipate and experience this change from a fresh, spiritual perspective. I’m pleased to offer a new specialty reading created from my research and personal experiences: Menopause: The Spiritual Perspective. This reading will help you center yourself in your Wise Woman, achieve the spiritual growth that is a part of this process, and create the present and future you desire. Please visit my website for additional information including an introductory discount for this new reading, and to browse other readings to help you achieve peace and success in your life. Back to T of C.MERGING WITH OUR DIVINE ESSENCE An excerpt from "Celestial Journey Beyond the Stars." By Rev. Maria Lupita Martinez It takes great dedication to grow spiritually, and as we go along life in JOY, things begin to flow in an easier way. I have wondered many times why I did not realize sooner the possibility of this happening in my life. The ingredient that helps me the most is knowing that life is eternal and we should not allow stress and worries to take hold of us. The changes I had to implement in my life took me to new levels of understanding and brought me closer to the DIVINITY THAT I AM. Ever since I have learned to be in the JOY OF MY OWN LOVE VIBRATION, and this is the greatest gift I have given myself as a human on planet earth, and also to other aspects of SELF, becoming ONE WITH ALL CREATION to do great works in the name of my Christ Consciousness. Also known by the name of the I AM PRESENCE. We suggest keeping a journal of your dreams and meditations to ascertain your own spritual progress and work on those issues that need more attention on your part. We are perfect, but we forget that we are perfect. Our mind is our worse enemy making us aware of so much confusion and negativity. The more inner peace in our heart, the more it will be given to us in the form of a flood of revelations or insights released to us by our DIVINITY TO HELP US REMEMBER. The more we receive and the more we accept it as truth, the more the Universe will give to us. The key is to be opened to receive. This has been my personal experience this time around. Stay in peace and trust what is given This contributes to open the door to receive all sorts of gifts from SPIRIT. Learn to let go of any kind of selfishness or pettiness. Make an effort to resolve issues in your personal life that no longer serve. Above all ALLOW OTHERS THEIR OWN SPACE....after all, they are your brothers and sisters of the light, we are all "ONE". Alchemy is part of our POWER, AND IS AVAILABLE TO ALL OF US TO CHANGE OUR LIFE TO THE ONE WE PREFER TO LIVE. Empower yourself and awaken to remember that you are a celestial being on a special mission at this time on planet earth. Search diligently for your inner peace. I am satisfied to know that I AM an instrument of Divine Intelligence and that my energies are used for the well-being of Mother Earth. Love in Action, I am pleased to announce that I turned seventy-seven years old on November 23, a very special date this year having a Solar Eclipse. Please send your prayers for PEACE IN THE HEARTS OF HUMANKIND. My eternal gratitude. I am blessed with perfect health, and a peaceful productive life. My energy level is fantastic and incredible. ![]() Table of Contents Message from the Moon Temple MachuPicchu - Peru By Aluna Joy Yaxk'in Down in the misty jungles behind the famous lost city of the Inca, Machupicchu, lies a small yet powerful temple where an ancient teacher resides. I had made the strenuous hike down to this little known temple a few times over the years. I was aware of a presence of a spirit in the temple, but until this trip I had not received any messages from it. A small group and I had already hiked up to the Inca Sun Gate the previous day. It was Spring Equinox here in the Andes and we had a calling to be at this doorway. Balanced between one mountain range and the next we took time to honor the coming of spring as the sun was high above us. The sun gate looks down atop Wayna Picchu, the famous mountain behind the mystical city of Machupicchu. It felt good to be above it all with a view like a condor. We sat and listened. Subtly we knew we were at a cross roads. We had arrived at a door between what has been, and what will be. We had little words for the experience it was a deep knowing that something was about to shift. The next morning our group gathered for breakfast and all agreed that the hidden temple of the moon was calling us. I watched my ego struggle with this plan. My legs were tired from yesterdays grueling Inca stairway to the sun. I was looking for every excuse not to make the journey. Unlike the rest of the group I knew the trek to the moon temple was as hard of a hike as climbing the vertical mountain it was hidden behind. I didn't think I could make the hike and was surprised that many of the others were also having the same issues. Somehow we all found ourselves on the trail. After a few hundred yards on the trail we found ourselves gasping in the thin Andean air. This wasn't such a good idea, I thought to myself, yet somehow we were able to make each step needed to get there. After uncountable stairs that wound up and down the mountain side like a serpent, we arrived at the fairy like, miniature sized moon temple. We had descended deep into the jungle. We could no longer feel the ancient city above us. All we could see was layers of Andean mountains divided by the Urubamba river below. We were alone or at least we thought. Some of the group collapsed in a grassy area and chomped down on some snacks in hope to recharge their energy. They chatted away about various things. It was like we had forgotten why we came all this way for. The Moon temple was calling us to have a vision and here we all are chatting and stuffing our faces. I broke out my travel sized copal burner and began to smudge the interior of the cave, temple structures and stone alters. The stone work here has been protected from weather. It is amazing to see the precision of the work even today a sheet of paper could not slip between the un-mortared stones. It was if they were created in some mystical way other then the means we would use today. To read the rest of this article click here. Back to T of C.SURVIVING THE CONVERGENCE By Dr. Barbara LaRocca With waves of new energy coming in, we are challenged to continue our progress through the gates of consciousness. To use this new wave to maximum effect, thinking takes on a prayer like nature. Instead of mundane thoughts (although these will float through) it is essential to maintain a focus on the Divine Energy. It doesn't matter what form the Divinity takes, it is now needed as a constant focus. You might say you can't. Well, you can. You might have been addicted to misery, sadness, shame, or anger. Like an addiction, you turn to the Higher Power for help. When you focus on the Higher Power, not only can you give up your addiction to upset, you can train your etheric and physical bodies to handle the new level of joy, bliss, power, and intensity. Watch your thinking. Low self-esteem thoughts are not an option. They are poison. Make a commitment to do whatever it takes to stop low self esteem thoughts. Give yourself consequences (like drinking an entire glass of water every time you entertain negative thinking, spiritual chanting until all negative thoughts dissolve-anything that is a solid replacement or distraction from the pattern). Holding positive thoughts and prayer (just invoking the Divine) is a contribution to changing the world as well as a way to survive and flourish during these changes. Dr. Barbara LaRocca is a practicing healer and psychic who also writes for Crystal Wings. You may reach her at 510-658-4337. Back to T of C.CULTIVATING PATIENCE, PART II By Sue Jones This is the second article in a three-part series. Most often we read about exercising patience as it applies to something else, such as creating more positive behaviors, raising children or starting a new business. Rarely do we hear about cultivating patience for its own sake, but there are some very compelling reasons for doing just that. Impatience is bad for us all the way around. Haste, on a purely material level, makes waste: errors and mishaps caused by hurrying, or pressuring someone else to hurry, can cost us far more in the end than the time saved in the mad scramble to finish. Healthwise, impatience causes stress, which elevates blood pressure and wreaks havoc with the stomach, the heart and the body's immune system. Lack of patience harms the social side of life too: it sets a poor example for others, strains relationships and causes discord at home, in the workplace and elsewhere. On a spiritual level, the inner and outer disharmony that impatience creates takes us out of Tao. And when patience is lost, so are perspective and composure, without which there can be no state of grace. Impatience also amounts to a misuse of spiritual power, in two ways. First, because the power to shape our destinies lies in the here and now, losing our patience compromises that power, making us ineffective at creating what we want, and vulnerable to attracting more of what we don't want. Second, when we become impatient, we give away our innate power to a situation. Most of us would never dream of giving away our power to think for ourselves, for example, to a fascist dictator or a religious authority; yet on a daily basis we hand over our power to be calm and centered to traffic jams, inept sales clerks, computer problems and long lines at the post office. If the definition of genius is, as Michelangelo observed, eternal patience, then surely we must all at times be spiritual nincompoops. The good news is that patience, in addition to being a spiritual virtue, is a mental skill, one that can be cultivated and eventually mastered, even by the most impatient person. There are two sides to developing patience, the practical and the mental, or spiritual. Both approaches require motivation, discernment, a strategy, practice and vigilance. These will be covered in the next SpiritVoice issue. For now I'd like to leave you with a good all-purpose exercise for cultivating patience, one that you might find useful for dealing with the upcoming holiday rush. This technique is easy to do and suitable for all personality types. And because the rational part of the mind cannot refute it, it is very effective. (This exercise involves closing your eyes, so you won't want to do this while driving.) When you find yourself starting to lose patience, do this: Close your eyes, take a deep breath and say to yourself, "Accept a little more, agonize a little less." Keep your eyes closed and continue saying this to yourself, until you are calm again and your mind has completely accepted this attitude. Happy Holidays! Back to T of C.BALSAM FIR OIL TO STAY HEALTHY FOR CHRISTMAS by Marie Allizon Soon people will be shopping for Christmas trees. Many avoid the natural ones for convenience and because they don’t want to destroy the forests. The truth is that artificial trees are made of polluting plastic materials. Most of all, the Christmas trees we find are grown on land that are unfit for agriculture and are much closer to the North American tradition. The reason the Balsam tree was used at Christmas time was to protect the house from diseases brought in by holiday visitors and bring joy. The candles on the Christmas tree heat the needles and release in the air large amounts of essential oils that kill all bacteria when you are having a respiratory problem. It has been recently discovered that Balsam fir completely destroys tuberculosis. Now we can extract essential oils and use it all year round. Just put a few drops of essential oil on a handkerchief and put it in your pocket, or apply it to your feet. This is very simple to do. It can also be diffused in therapy rooms, massage rooms, waiting rooms, in retail stores, in your living room, instead of using the synthetic fragrances found in most candles and “aromatherapy” products. Cold and flu can be fought very easily using a conifer blend of Balsam Fir, Red Pine, White Spruce, Canadian Tsuga and Arborvitae ($13 for 84 drops). This Conifer blend works in synergy and is a natural antibiotic. The diversity creates a more powerful effect. Or use the Immune System up as a preventive, or Virus Out that you rub on your chest if you are already affected. For more on the subject, see the brand new video of an excellent interview of Mikael Zayat. It is 58’ and sells for $30. For more details, Please click here.
