Mars went into the astrological sign of Taurus on 27 July this year, went retrograde on 1 October, so he will be in the sign of Taurus for a long time – until 17 February 2006. He is also very close to the earth, as you all know by now. I am often asked what it means when a planet comes close to the earth. Astrology teaches that the planets and their relationships with each other have an influence on earth, which includes us. It may be that the planets alter the speed and intensity of the cosmic wind and that is what influences earth. Whichever, you may be sure that Mars’ influence is much stronger when he is close than when he is farther away. He did not jump into this proximity, he has been slowly approaching, becoming very close in the sign of Taurus, not only traveling at Taurus’ slow pace, but going retrograde, and taking twice as long as usual traveling through a sign.

Mars is associated with men, action, fires, wars and temperature; Mars likes it hot and fast. Taurus is associated with money, possessions, the earth, and the status quo. She is warm, moist and slow, trapping Mars and causing him to stall.

Mars has had a challenging relationship with Neptune during September and October, with Neptune being in the sign of Aquarius, the unusual and unexpected. Neptune rules water, meaning rain and snow (among other things). Throw Mercury in the mix and we have trouble. Mercury represents the wind, who was fighting with Neptune and the rain and challenging Mars who is stalled. Sometimes the Moon joins in, playing a dangerous game with Pluto and relates to the dislocation of many people.

A friend of mine recently made a remark about an outstanding “teachable moment” in her classroom. The concept, the idea of the teachable moment has not left me alone since! A google search of the term produced 334,000 results, so I’m not the only one thinking about this concept. However, I may be one of the few thinking of teachable moments in terms of spirit.

So what is a teachable moment? The phrase "teachable moments" comes from the book Human Development and Education (David McKay & Company, 1952) by Robert James Havighurst: "A developmental task is a task which is learned at a specific point and which makes achievement of succeeding tasks possible. When the timing is right, the ability to learn a particular task will be possible. This is referred to as a 'teachable moment.' It is important to keep in mind that unless the time is right, learning will not occur. Hence, it is important to repeat important points whenever possible so that when a student's teachable moment occurs, s/he can benefit from the knowledge."

We have all made use of teachable moments in our homes and in our jobs. When you pass by an auto accident with your child, that is a moment to teach prayer for others, to teach gratitude for personal safety, to teach personal preparation for life and death issues; so many things. When your co-worker is facing tragedy and comes to you for comfort, you are presented with the same kind of teachable moment.

Societally, spiritually, what would a teachable moment look like? When, what point, what moment, could we learn as a people the particular task of loving one another? When could we learn to respond with compassionate action?

We have had many societal teachable moments in the recent past and it is likely that many more will occur. Terrorist bombings. Hurricane Katrina. The tsunami. The terrible devastation of the earthquake in the Pakistani region of the world. These are our global, societal teachable moments.

Lightworkers, seize these moments. Speak up and BE THE LIGHT! In tragedy and devastation, in uncertainty, gently and kindly teach what you know to be true. Allow Spirit to speak through you to impart what is needed in every moment. Make yourself available to Spirit! God is giving us the right timing and thus the ability to teach and learn the particular tasks necessary to create ultimate benefit from our knowledge. This knowledge, this knowing, is the certainty that all things do work together for good, despite appearances.

As we move further into the Photon Band, its catalyzing affects are felt more and more. Here in Egypt, we see things a bit more clearly than being surrounded by the Western energy.

We have all felt that we are constantly clearing and this is for a reason. There exists within Humanity a great imbalance within the elemental aspects of our own bodies. Through the manipulation of the Elemental Kingdom, we have now within our body's aberrations of the elemental kingdom that needs to be returned to their natural state.

We all remember how, in the Lord of the Rings, the Gnomes and Fairies were altered to create the abnormal Orks. In a way Western Society has done the same in creating synthetic chemicals and medicines. When introduced into our bodies, they create an imbalance in our biological system which is a great cause of suffering both to us and the Elemental Kingdom.

A way to bring harmony back to your body is to lower your Base Chakra and merge it with the Iron Crystal at the centre of the planet. Then ask that all the elementals that desire to return to the Earth now leave. If you feel pain anywhere in your body, go into the pain and ask the elementals what they desire, what is the lesson that they bring, and embrace them in your love. Give them your permission to return to the Earth.

We all have stored within our DNA the potential for imbalance which we know as dis-ease. As we spend more time, as a planet, in the Photon Band, it is causing these potentials for illness or 'miasms' to be triggered. These have to be cleared before we find our selves totally in the Photon Band in 2012. We will not be able to hold ourselves in form after this date unless we have cleared these miasms.

Embracing any of the latest energy healing techniques, of which Angelic Reiki is but one, will be a doorway into the kind of clearing needed. What is about to happen is not new. It has happened every time that this planet has entered the Photon Band. There are records of the last event in the Bible, ancient Sumerian texts, the Vedas, and all indigenous tribal lore.

This is not a time for embracing fear however. It is a time of great joy, where we can move, as a Race, away from thousands of years of control and manipulation into a space of self-empowerment and knowledge of ourselves as Divine Creator Beings. Events are moving apace on the planet to bring in the next round of planetary clearings which will take place before June, 2006. See beyond the fear and embrace the new.

The air in many temples and other religious gatherings has been tested and shown to be toxic. In some cases, it was even worse than in extremely polluted cities. The culprit was the burning of synthetic incenses. This information is very alarming, but not surprising since most incense sticks available on the market are anything but natural. We asked the producers in India and Nepal about the ingredients they use in their formula. Most of them were not aware that the fragrances they bought from Europe, mainly France, were not extracted from the real plant but chemically formulated.

Burning this kind of incense and/or aromatic candles can cause discomfort, headaches, dizziness, asthma and allergies. Fortunately, there is an alternative. We can purify the air in our living environment as well as our ritual place by using natural aromatic essential oils that are diffused into the air using an electric aromatic diffuser or by simply putting a few drops of oil on a ribbon in front of a fan. The best oils to use in this case would be Balsam Fir, Eucalyptus and Lavender or some of our 100% natural blends like Conifer, Clear, White Light, Om, Stress Out, Christmas Joy, etc.

We've all seen this movie, perhaps many times. We watched it again recently and found it to be a great reminder. So, is this Heaven? Can this be Heaven for you? For years, we have taught a workshop entitled 'The Art of Heaven on Earth'. In that workshop, everyone is given an opportunity to feel what it is like to change their vibration, to feel unconditional love within themselves - for themselves. We watch as participants feel their own heart, practice the Living Light Breath, learn to re-center and BE One with all there IS. They feel a moment of pure joy. By changing their vibration, every person can feel the energy of creation within themselves. Finding the place where fear has no meaning, allows a space for creation to occur - a space where dreams are made. When that space is created within ourselves, we create our own 'Heaven on Earth'.

Watching the movie and reading the multitude of messages and e-mails being posted containing the important references to current events, dates and times as pointing towards profound occurrences in our lives, leads us to share our own thoughts:

For example: on November 11, a particular event occurred which many heralded as a paradigm Shift of the Ages - an opportunity for the inhabitants of Earth to meet the descent of God-Consciousness upon this plane. Many individuals believe that various dates, times and planetary alignments can open an energetic 'stargate' for emotional and physical manifestations of consciousness to elevate awareness. It has been said that numerous circumstances occur during these times which are extraordinary for a simultaneous awakening of souls. The entire consciousness of Earth at that moment has an opportunity to shift towards unity and ascend to a higher vibration for healing of our individual selves and in turn, healing our planet.

For many years, seers, astrologers, psychics, and others have pointed to numerous calendar dates as opportunities for Earth's ascension process - a shift in consciousness. Each of these 'portals' or 'gates' has been represented as a major step. We do accept that focused intention can bring about miraculous and momentous events in our lives. For every moment of every day, we offer this question: Haven't gates, portals and other opportunities always been open and available to anyone willing to go through it?

We've written articles and newsletters over the years about the different levels of awareness, shifts in consciousness and shifts in the collective consciousness. For mass consciousness, or a major shift in the collective to occur, there must first be a shift within each individual on this planet. As each person changes, shifts and heals, that energetic affects the consciousness of the planet. In our opinion, and in the opinions of some other futurists, were the collective consciousness to suddenly shift, chaos throughout the entire planet would result. That's why shifts are subtle, not massive. Step by step, individual by individual, the collective changes, often subtly. Seeds of awareness get planted and over time, when carefully watered and tended, grow to an awareness that we are all One Spiritual Being - having a uniquely physical experience. That's the major shift in consciousness that can and must occur. After all, how can we assist in raising the vibration of the planet if our own vibration does not change?

Increasingly throughout the world, we encounter more and more individuals who are fearful of losing themselves if a change were to occur in their vibration. Most people only know what they do NOT want in their lives. They are fearful that anything they create will only be, look or feel like more of what they have created in the past. Like Christmas perhaps, this November 11 offers each of us a day when everyone acts and feels a little kinder toward their fellow man. Worldwide meditations, ceremonies and gatherings will be about peace, brotherhood, light, love, wholeness and the unity of everyone.

So again, we challenge you to think for yourself and answer these questions for yourself: Ought we not to be celebrating each moment in our NOW this way? Ought we not to be creating our own Heaven on Earth NOW in this way? Our dreams can be created right NOW, if we only choose to open the gate of our minds to allow ourselves to walk through and find the clarity of Light and Love within ourselves. It's not outside in the planets or the stars; it's inside each of us. NOW. Why do we need a special day to release fear, come out of the shadows and be at peace with others? Why do we need to have 'permission' to feel the opportunity of shifting within ourselves, of moving out of our fears?

We are at a time of rebirth. Does it feel good?

It is difficult to say how strenuous this birth is going to be. During this transformation, before we all turn into new lightworkers, seems similar those last days of pregnancy or those last tests before graduation…it sucks.

I have reports from people whose private practices are changing or seeming to decline. Relationships are ending and soul mates seem to be hidden. We mourn the old while awaiting the new.

We can't stay the same and we can't see exactly what will happen. Even if you were pregnant, you can tell what sex the child will be. With this birth, everything is different, almost completely without common signals or indications.

We have the primitive memory of a time when people worked together for the greater good and we were more conscious and healthier. This is a memory of honesty, love, and connection with the Divine. This is a memory of Atlantis.

Birth is inevitable and the last days of gestation are upon us. You are succeeding, we are all succeeding. It is painful to see our old lives die but it is necessary. Some of you must carry on parts of these old lives, while others are meant to make complete changes. Loss of jobs, divorces, deaths…all are part of this rebirth. New assignments are arriving.

All spiritual impoverishment must end. People, places and things that support the disconnection with the Divine will either change dissolve. We will find soul mates, new work, and new commitments to Spirit.

The core of each major spiritual teaching is that you are part of God and everything that you need lies within you. Yet our ego identification and personality resist this to the fullest extent possible because they are afraid that if we truly become one with God that they will die.

Truly the path to utter misery is looking outside ourselves for the answers, for healing, for enlightenment, etc. I know because I have been there, done this and truly I was never happy or fulfilled or content.

I worked a lot this month with Mike Curren a gifted healer in Wisconsin who helps people to align with GOD and this inner work shifted my consciousness quite a bit. During this last month the focus of my work has been clarified and weaned down to working directly with GOD to assist people rather than using modalities. Modalities are really a filter on the energies of GOD and it is more powerful to work directly with GOD.

Transformation is in the wind these days. Have you noticed? I remember hearing many years ago that anything that does not have Truth as its foundation is about to crumble. Lots of crumbling going on these days, but we’ve still got a ways to go to complete that prediction. So where do you stand in the midst of all this crumbling?

Are you able to go to bed each night knowing you’ve done your best work and that truth is the foundation of everything you’ve accomplished? Are you following your passion and doing your life’s work or are you just barely holding on at some boring job that simply pays your rent and feeds you? What about those creative visions and dreams you’ve had over the years? Have you moved forward on them or are you waiting in apathy or fear for someone else to move forward and change the world?

Change the world? Is that even possible, you say? Of course it is, but only if you (each and every one of you) get out each day and do your best to make a difference. Follow your passion. Open your hearts to love and joy and share that love and joy with EVERYONE you meet each and every day. Acknowledge the fear that appears when walking into unknown territory, take a deep breath, and with all your strength and courage, walk through the fear that has held your creativity captive all these many years and expand your horizons.
