As an Alumni Regent of the University of California, Edward served as the Vice-Chairman of the committee that oversees the research laboratories in which the nuclear weapons of the United States are developed. In that capacity, he became uniquely familiar with the precariousness of human survival in the nuclear age. It was at about that time that he became determined to write the book, The Demagogue's Disease. He appeared on hundreds of radio and television stations and testified before U.S. Congressional hearings. Betty is 75 years old, and Edward is 77. They do not smoke, drink alcohol, coffee, tea, or caffeine drinks. They are in the best of health, with no aches or pains, and they often swim in the ocean for more than two hours every day. They are both night certified SCUBA divers. Because of their excellent health, they are also interested in learning more about native healing practices, meditation and hypnosis used in healing, and the healthful benefits of native therapeutic massage. Although they are world travelers, they often lead a simple life. At their island home they have no hot water, no television, no radio, no telephone, no mail, no roads, and no shops. In addition to doing magic shows during their journeys, they learn about and appreciate the infinite variety of native customs, cultures and myths. Edward and Betty have a deep spiritual interest in those countries they visit, and engage in discussions with spiritual teachers of many religions. His recent book is about spiritual life, entitled Evolution To Sainthood. In it he tells us about Sirrom and the four revelations. |
